Last-Minute Holiday Gift Wrap Ideas

Last-Minute Holiday Gift Wrap Ideas

I think many of us this holiday weekend are going to be hiding away in bedrooms, wrapping up all of those gifts we've been squirreling away in closets and under beds. It's so tempting to just get it done fast to avoid detection (wrap, tape, slap on pre-made bow--DONE). Why not spend a little more time to make your presents memorable on the outside too?

First off, this collection of adorable gifts (image above) would be welcomed by me with open arms (and hard to unwrap!). Simply use retro-looking paper honeycomb decorations, striped drinking straws, and pom poms to adorn these festive cuties.

Botanicals are an easy go-to if you're looking to get out of the bow rut. I love the simplicity of the neutral palette used here--either paper or burlap--and twine. This site gives instructions on how to make these adorable clay gift tags too, or if you're baking cookies anyway, create a few edible tags of your own!

Let your Instagram feed be your presents adornment source and provide nifty gift tags as well. This blogger's simple and quick idea creates an minimalist and serene result.

A white paint pen on dark paper makes the perfect chalkboard-like surface for your holiday doodles and good wishes on these sweet gifts.

Have a red candle nearby? Then adorn a simply tied pre-wrapped present with a wax seal! Love this idea for a speedy, unique result.

If you're looking for something whimsical, this paper forest gift topper idea is so easy. Just spare a few toothpicks from your appetizer tray. How delightful is this little scene?

Happy wrapping! --Xoxo Cristin
