Must Buy: A New Mug for Fall

Must Buy: A New Mug for Fall

It may be over 90 degrees here in Los Angeles, but I fully support today being #National Coffee Day (in fact it's midday now, and I'm about to finish my morning pot). Kind of like shopping for new fall clothes, I also like to set the mood for the season with something with which to contain those mugs of jo, tea, or cider.

These babies (above) have just the right bulbous shape to make them all too cozy to hold as you sip away, their rims wide enough for even soup (butternut squash, of course).

Although the upper half of this mug has a simple overlapping linear design, it's evocative of a forest in winter and very zen. Not sure caffeine would be a good idea in this peaceful piece...

This one would be for when I wanna a little Scandi Seventies vibe...think ABBA.

For the bohomenian mood, these will do just fine.

When in an artsy mood I'll drink an espresso out of this set, such a reduction into pure form--minimalist, like espresso and the work of sculptor Brancusi.

Do you have a favorite mug or do you like to change it up like I do?
